BRIEF DESCRIPTION OF THE WORKS INCLUDING CONTRACT STYLE

Endeavour Lodge is the latest stage of Minkara Retirement Village Bayview NSW. Endeavour Lodge represents a new level in serviced
apartment living for seniors.  It is a purpose built building comprising of 43 individual luxury serviced apartments with quality finishes set within
extensive lifestyle facilities. This building has been designed to extend
independent living for residents.  The building also incorporates additional services and personal care requirements that residents need to make senior life easier.

Constructed over 3 levels Endeavour Lodge comprises of 33 one-bedroom apartments and 10 two-bedroom apartments. The complex
also features a community facilities building incorporating a covered
swimming pool.

Initially the site was a hillside, which had to be removed with the use of
excavators; rock hammers and rock saws before the building pad could
be created. As semi trailers could not access the site everything had to
be brought in and removed by body trucks. All footings and services had to be cut into the sandstone on the ground floor.

This project won the:

• National Master Builders Association for Lifestyle Housing for
  seniors in Purpose Built Dwellings;
• New South Wales Master Builders Association Excellence in
  Construction Lifestyle over 55’s category.
