Tom Forrester has over thirty years of building/development experience, ranging from commercial projects, refurbishment projects to industrial subdivisions, high technology industrial parks and buildings, high rise multi-residential apartments and retirement villages. Tom Forrester from 1995 to July 2004 was the General Manager of the Construction Division of a major publicly listed company, where he was responsible for an annual construction turnover of over $100 million dollars.

As General Manager, Tom Forrester was responsible for the construction company meeting its profit forecasts so as to ensure it’s continued growth while simultaneously deriving 30% of all construction work from external developer clients as required by the Board, and conducting that external construction work profitably. Tom Forrester was also responsible for developing and advancing strategic planning for the construction division, providing quality service and efficient delivery of product to the client’s satisfaction and in accordance with the company’s quality assurance standards, maintaining and implementing project and company budgets, ensuring compliance with all relevant Government legislation and for the management of human resources (including being directly responsible for a staff of 65), capital resources and financial resources.

Tom Forrester has been responsible for projects ranging in complexity from the award winning redevelopment and refurbishment of the heritage listed Anzac Square Building and Macarthur Chambers Building, to the completion of the first Australian 4 ½ star Australian Greenhouse Energy rated commercial building, the 22 storey office tower The William Buck Centre (formerly Hall Chadwick Centre,) cnr Charlotte St & Edward St, Brisbane. During Tom Forrester’s tenure as General Manager the division achieved a cumulative turnover in excess of 1 billion dollars.

It was also during this period that the division won in excess of 70 industry awards for Urban Renewal projects to multi Residential, Commercial, Industrial and Retail Projects since 2000. Forrester Properties Pty Ltd and TMF Constructions Pty Ltd were established by Tom Forrester to develop and construct quality property in South East Queensland. TMF Constructions Pty Ltd holds a Building Services Authority Licence No 1103802.

Tom Forrester holds the following qualifications:

Capitol to take shape

ON the back of posting more than $33 million in off-the-plan sales, Forrester Properties has commenced construction of its $42 million The Capitol Apartments in South Brisbane.

Piling and excavation works are now underway for the 10-level development, which is being built by Forrester Properties’ construction division, TMF Constructions, and is due for completion in late 2012.

The Capitol Apartments will feature 78 one and two-bedroom apartments, a restaurant and lounge bar, and resortstyle facilities including lap pool, gymnasium, steam room and outdoor leisure area.

The boutique development is situated on Peel St in the heart of the South Brisbane urban renewal precinct.

Company directer Tom Forrester said the state government's $10,000 building boost attracted several buyers. The Capitol Apartments is due for completion in late 2012.

Cash flows towards The Capitol

SALES at The Capitol Apartments have topped $30 million as investors and owner-occupiers look to take advantage of the urban renewal underway in South Brisbane.

The $40 million project recorded more than $9.2 million in sales during the June quarter, with 19 one and twobedroom apartments secured by a mix of investors and owner-occupiers for between $380,000 and $655,000.

Construction is expected to commence on the project, being developed by Forrester Properties, later this year.

The boutique 10-level project will comprise 77 one and two-bedroom apartments, a restaurant and lounge bar, and resort-style facilities including lap pool, gymnasium, steam room and outdoor leisure area.

Capitol growth

THE Capitol Apartments has cemented its position as one of the best-selling apartment developments in Brisbane.

The project notched up more than

$8.1 million in sales and achieving 16 unconditional off-the-plan sales in the March quarter.

Developed by Forrester Properties on a prime site on Peel St, South Brisbane, The Capitol Apartments has now achieved total sales of more than $21 million.
